The roaring twenties was definitely not quiet

Who: Kamui and anyone disrupting his peace and quiet
Where: His apartment complex or even outside it.
Style: First, third, or either
Status: Open

Kamui would have stayed at the office, but that place was too stifling. He only stayed there when he really had to, but he tried not to be around his father's things. Even if he had used the office years after his father's passing, Kamui still kept it the same. And whenever, someone would try to change something, he was already flipping out. His father's office was one of the few things he had of the other, so he tried his best to keep in the same likeness as the other.

But Kamui found the place suffocating at times. It made him nervous to be there. He didn't know how to  explain the anxiety he felt, but he knew it was real enough for him to be in a hurry to leave. So, Kamui decided to finish his work in the comforts of his own home. Sure it wasn't as quiet as his father's office, but he had his way of dealing with the nuisances that tried to threaten his sleep or his productivity. So as soon as he came in he decided to sit down and do just that. Work. Daring anyone to interrupt him.

"Kamui, I'm glad you know you always have a place. I want you to know that you as my son will always be first in my heart. You're my precious son, the heir to the family and I loved your father with my entirety." And she had. For several years she had been in a depression at her husband's death. She still got up and she still went out as the headmistress, but when her husband had been killed it was like she had thought all color had left the world. Even though she kept going on for her son, family, and friends, the first years after Mamoru's death had been hardest on her. There were nights that she would fall asleep sobbing, holding his pocket-watch to her breasts.

But that had been more than a decade ago. It had been Kamui that had pulled her out of her depression although he didn't know that. Serenity smiled and shifted to kiss Kamui's temple.

"My handsome and wonderful son."

"I know." The young man said as his mother assured him of his place in her heart and how she felt about her father. Kamui knew very well, how much his father's death affected her. Even though, his mother may think he was oblivious to her pain,he always saw through the strong front she made for him and others.

Kamui smiled at that."As long as you're happy that's all I care about."

"I am," she said as she caressed his cheek. "I am happy Kamui. So long as this world turns I will keep going and do all I can for it so that you and all my students and everyone can have a beautiful place to live."
