The roaring twenties was definitely not quiet

Who: Kamui and anyone disrupting his peace and quiet
Where: His apartment complex or even outside it.
Style: First, third, or either
Status: Open

Kamui would have stayed at the office, but that place was too stifling. He only stayed there when he really had to, but he tried not to be around his father's things. Even if he had used the office years after his father's passing, Kamui still kept it the same. And whenever, someone would try to change something, he was already flipping out. His father's office was one of the few things he had of the other, so he tried his best to keep in the same likeness as the other.

But Kamui found the place suffocating at times. It made him nervous to be there. He didn't know how to  explain the anxiety he felt, but he knew it was real enough for him to be in a hurry to leave. So, Kamui decided to finish his work in the comforts of his own home. Sure it wasn't as quiet as his father's office, but he had his way of dealing with the nuisances that tried to threaten his sleep or his productivity. So as soon as he came in he decided to sit down and do just that. Work. Daring anyone to interrupt him.

And dare someone did, unknowingly of course and well-meaning.

The interruption came in the form of an energetic knock at the young man's door. On the other side was a child hopping from foot to foot impatiently for him to answer, smile already bright and in place.

A hand was through his dark, slick back hair as he stared down at the reports. His eyebrows furrowing with concentration as he made sense of the information. It wasn't that he didn't understand what was there, it more like looking at it was giving him a headache. This report seemed off. Information was missing.Yep, there was definitely a headache coming.

Suddenly there was a knock to his door. Kamui threw the door a look, staring at it, and then going back to his work. He'll ignore it. There was no one he knew that was visiting him. He looked over the report again, but couldn't go back after hear the floorboards creak outside his door. Whoever was on the other side must be doing something annoying.

The young male stood up from his desk and walked over to the door. Flinging the door open and burning holes into whoever was standing there. Except his gave went over Ashura's head expecting that he would be dealing with a idiotic adult. His gaze lowered and focused on the boy."What."

"Kamui!" Ashura was oblivious to the glare leveled above his head and the impatient tone when he was finally noticed. "Ashura brought you brownies Suu baked with me! We had even too many for me, so I wanted to share."

The news boy leaned to the side curiously, shortened curly black hair swaying with him as he tried to peer into the apartment. "Whatcha up to?"

[identity profile] seishiromustdie.livejournal.com 2011-04-26 07:57 am (UTC)(link)
Kamui's impatient expression doesn't change. It was that kid from upstairs. The one with obnoxious older brother. He then looked down at the brownies that Ashura was willing to share with him. Before he could give the other an answer he placed his hand in front of Ashura's face blocking him from seeing his apartment."Something a paperboy wouldn't understand."

He then looked back to the brownie."Is this some kind of peace offering?"

[identity profile] guren-no-honoo.livejournal.com 2011-04-26 02:42 pm (UTC)(link)
Ashura siiighed at being blocked from seeing inside. What did being a paper boy have to do with it? He'd learned about all sorts of things from the papers after all.

But the child got distracted by the question instead of pursuing that line of thought. "Peace offering?" He asked curiously. "What does Mister Kamui mean?"

[identity profile] seishiromustdie.livejournal.com 2011-04-27 07:09 am (UTC)(link)
He was doing work at the moment, and since he knew how rowdy his neighbors could get, especially one in particular, he was willing to accept the brownies as a peace offering. A truce, so he wouldn't have to kill anyone."I'll take the brownies, in exchange for ignoring what ever noise your family will create tonight."

[identity profile] guren-no-honoo.livejournal.com 2011-05-02 07:49 am (UTC)(link)
"Oh!" the child exclaimed, still not sure how that made this a peace offering. After all, they weren't fighting! But if the brownies would help with the noise... somehow... then that was fine by him.

"I think Hideki will be stuck at work late tonight, so it shouldn't be very loud. Ashura will try to be quiet too. And Suu is aaaaaaaalways quiet. Even when she sings. And that's so pretty so it shouldn't bother you any right?"

Took a breath finally and looked up at Kamui expectantly. "You should try one! Do you even like brownies? I wasn't sure if you would, but I hoped so."

[identity profile] seishiromustdie.livejournal.com 2011-05-03 07:08 am (UTC)(link)
Well he had no problem with Suu and her singing. It was nice to listen to, when he had the chance to hear it. Not that he would say that out loud or show that he liked her singing either. And since the oldest and probably the noisiest one wasn't there. Then he had little to worry about, but still he was still worried about his work.

As for the brownies, well he liked chocolate and he had a sweet tooth. He was raised by one, of course that was carried on. So Kamui did liked brownies. Will he tell Ashura that? Not in a millions years. So he allowed the kid to think he never had a brownie."I'll try one, but I'm not promising anything."

He said as he took the plate from the young boy and he moved to the side allowing the boy in. He pointed over to his desk."That place is off limits."

Gold eyes lit up in utter excitement when Kamui stepped aside to let him in. "I promise they are really really good! We were really careful making them and it was lots of fun and they have lots of love in them~!"

Ashura looked around once he was inside, eyes obviously gravitating toward the "forbidden" area of course. But for now, he was good and stayed put. "Do you live here alone then?"

[identity profile] seishiromustdie.livejournal.com 2011-05-07 06:02 am (UTC)(link)
"..."Kamui was silent as the other went on about good the brownies were. He wouldn't know how good they were until he tried them himself.

He walked over to the kitchen, letting Ashura's eyes wander and trusting the boy not to go to his workstation while his back was turned. He only turned to Ashura when he asked a silly question."Do you see anyone else here?"

He then set the brownies down."Are you thirsty?"

[identity profile] guren-no-honoo.livejournal.com 2011-05-07 10:48 pm (UTC)(link)
A pout crossing his lips, Ashura shook his head. "I don't see anyone else here, but they could be working, you know. Ashura has never gotten to come inside here before, so I wouldn't know."

At the question in return, Ashura trotted after Kamui to the kitchen and looked up at him hopefully. "A little bit. Would it be okay?"

[identity profile] seishiromustdie.livejournal.com 2011-05-09 05:26 am (UTC)(link)
Kamui looked at the boy, flatly. So sarcasm was beyond him. He then said simply."I live here on my own."

As for his offer, the young man made his way to the icebox. Browsing the things he had. He wasn't a drinker so he didn't have anything unsuitable." I wouldn't have offered if it wasn't okay. I only have milk, water and juice."

[identity profile] guren-no-honoo.livejournal.com 2011-05-13 01:54 pm (UTC)(link)
"Milk!" The child replied excitedly, "That goes best with brownies afterall, heh~"

Ashura then follows after Kamui into the kitchen area expectantly. He wanted to see what he thought of the brownies first hand.

[identity profile] seishiromustdie.livejournal.com 2011-05-14 01:54 am (UTC)(link)
Kamui went to retrieve the milk and started to pour it into two glasses. Without even turned to Ashura, he held the class out to youth."Here."

Once Ashura took the glass, he re-fastened the milk bottle and placed it away. He then turned to the brownies, taking one of the plate, trying his best to ignore the amber eyes on him. He took a bite of the brownie, chewy it for awhile, before he shrugged his shoulder."Not bad."

It wasn't just "not bad" it was deliciously, but Kamui wouldn't got that far. He continued to eat at the brownie, sipping his own glass of milk in between. He then turned to Ashura,"You can take one? Unless you had your fill already."
