I don't hunt people. This would be the first time I had fresh blood since I arrived here. And even if that wasn't the case, I never had a need to hunt ever. I always had someone with me, or perhaps the situation was convenient enough. And like I said, I feed from Prey, but I don't have to hunt Prey.Prey is there for my nourishment, it doesn't have a purpose besides that.So there's no need to hunt something that will never try to run. It knows no fear, because Prey doesn't have souls.
But you pretty much answered your own question. Wouldn't it be hard to ask people to volunteer, if they believed some harm would come to them or they might before a vampire or slave. Vampires are feared for a reason. That's why I confided in you, because I trust you. I don't think a stranger would take this as calmly as you.
