waitsforbrother | Video 005 (accidental)

[ The brunette is seen sitting at a large wooden desk and leaning into a high back cushioned chair, reading a book. The feed seemed to be taken from some kind of study. Shelves of books were in the background and other miscellaneous items. On the surface of the desk there are other books, sitting away to the side. The titles are not in view as if Kamui has some anticipation that he would be interrupted or someone might walk in. Kamui seems very engrossed in reading, his eyes unwavering from the printed page, flipping pages with a timed precision.

Not too far from Kamui was a familiar cup. The contents of the cup could not be seen from the camera but it was definitely hot, steam sailing up from it. It seemed normal enough except for the festive and minty addition to his drink. There was a candy cane sticking out of the substance leaning on the edge of the cup.

Every now them, his hand come up to stir the substance around, using the cane as makeshift stirring spoon before taking a sip of it and setting it back down on the desk. His eyes never moving away from the book. Then suddenly his eyes looked toward the door, a hand closing the book promptly,and it only takes a few moments before the sound of a door opening and a voice is heard. The feed ends there.]

[Subaru watches the video for a moment. Kamui seems to be fairly relaxed and enjoying himself, which made Subaru smile since the other seemed to often be so tense. Especially after their last conversation about Seishirou.]

Umm. . . Kamui-san your dream berry is recording.

[Hearing the familiar voice, the brunette looks up and turns in the direction his dreamberry was situated. Great.]

...How long was it on?

About a minute or maybe two. I didn't know that Kamui-san enjoyed reading.

[A minute or two was too long for his liking.]

Reading? From time to time. I normally do research, but sometimes I read for leisure too.

Do you like to read, Subaru?

Sometimes, I don't really have a lot of free time for it but I kind of like it. Especially reading books about different places, or about animals.

[ Kamui did remeber Subaru saying that he worked a lot. So much that he had to make up assignments. If work was so demanding then, there was no wonder why it would be difficult to read more.]

...then maybe you can start reading again. I'm sure this world is not as hectic as yours. You can relax if you want to.

Ah, I probably will since I have more free time here. Though I was also thinking about starting to attend the school as well.

School? I would encourage that, especially since you have the time. And then Subaru can meet more people.

Alright, then I'll definitely enroll in classes then. Though I'll still try to work around the house some more as well to make up for staying here as well.

...work around the house? [Kamui looked a bit surprised by that. He kind felt a bit spoiled. The thought never crossed his mind to do things around the manor. Everyone once in a while, he'll offer to do something but he never felt obligated. The manor tended to itself and picked up after himself...did he have to do something else?] ....but even I don't do that.

I know but you and Serenity have done so much and took care of me while I was ill. I'd like to return the kindness and generosity to both of you.

...It's really nothing, Subaru, but if you feel that you need to do this, then I won't stop you.

[Subaru smiles.] Thank you. I'm sorry for interrupting your reading.

...it's you, so I don't mind. [ Kamui is just happy that you're willing to talk to him after....that conversation.]

[Subaru was afraid that Kamui was still mad at him, but it seemed that the other wasn't.] Alright, but I'll let you read now and talk to Serenity about enrolling at the school.
